What is agent readiness?

Agent readiness means your website can be read, understood, and operated by AI systems — chat assistants citing you, and browser agents completing tasks like forms and checkouts. Google’s Lighthouse added an Agentic Browsing audit for it in 2026, and Cloudflare publishes a public agent-readiness score.

Is this the same as GEO or AEO?

They overlap, but no. Generative engine optimization (GEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) mostly restructure content so AI cites you. Agent readiness is the engineering layer underneath: rendering, accessibility, structured data, and forms. Content tweaks can’t help if agents can’t read the page — we fix the code.

Will this get us recommended by ChatGPT?

Nobody can honestly guarantee citations — anyone who does is selling you weather. What we guarantee is measurable: your site passes the public agent-readiness checks, AI systems can read and use every important page, and you can verify both before and after with Google’s and Cloudflare’s own tools.

Does llms.txt actually matter?

Less than most vendors claim. Google says its search ignores llms.txt entirely, and an Ahrefs study found 97% of llms.txt files get no traffic. But coding agents and some AI tools do read it, and Lighthouse fails malformed files — a broken llms.txt is worse than none. We ship it correctly as one small part of the package, not as the product.

What is the Lighthouse Agentic Browsing audit?

A category Google added to Lighthouse in May 2026. It tests whether AI agents can parse your pages (accessibility tree), whether your layout shifts under them, and whether your llms.txt is valid — plus WebMCP checks for agent-operable forms. It runs free in PageSpeed Insights and Chrome DevTools.
